Libyan Prime Minister, Abdallah
al-Theni, on Monday said the government was carrying out high-level
negotiations with the abductors of the Jordanian Ambassador and the
Tunisian diplomats in Libya, and reassured they would be released soon.
“The abducted persons are doing well and we saw a video which illustrates those conditions,” al-Theni said.
He said that the negotiations were moving forward, without giving more information.
Report said a Tunisian diplomat was abducted on April 17 in Tripoli,
48 hours after the abduction of the Jordanian Ambassador also in
Tripoli.
In another development, an employee at the Tunisian Embassy, who was
abducted March
21, last week appeared in a video sent by his abductors,
who demanded his exchange.
It said that they also sent that of the Tunisian diplomat, for Libyans jailed in Tunisia for terrorism.
