How to Pay for iPhone Apps

Having an iPhone and not taking advantage of applications limits the opportunities open to you through having an iPhone in the first place. While some apps are free and other apps are not, you must create an Apple account with a valid credit card to download either. Once you create your account, you can buy apps through the iTunes Store in iTunes on your computer and through the App Store app on your iPhone. All you need to do to make purchases is enter the password for your Apple account, and Apple automatically bills your credit card.

How to Transfer Apps From iTunes to the iPhone

The iPhone, which is manufactured by Apple, features miniature mobile applications called apps. The iPhone comes with native apps, such as Mail and Safari, but you can also download free and paid apps from Apple's iTunes Store. The iTunes Store works both with computers and the iPhone, but apps purchased on your computer must be synced to your iPhone. Use the USB cord that was included with your iPhone to sync files and apps from your computer to your iPhone.

Step 1

Open iTunes on your computer. If you do not have iTunes, download a free copy from Apple's website.

How to Uninstall Apps From an iPhone

The Apple iPhone is a popular brand of smartphone. Users can choose from a range of free and paid applications to download onto their phones, including games, organizational programs, fitness software and more. However, these apps can take up valuable memory on your iPhone, so if you have no more use for an application or it is causing you problems, you might want to delete it.

Step 1

Sync your iPhone with iTunes to back up your app data if you don't want to lose it.

Most Useful Apps for iPhone

The iPhone is a range of Internet-equipped multimedia smartphone devices designed and manufactured by Apple. Games and software applications can be downloaded directly to the iPhone to increase its functionality, although the handset also comes preloaded with several key applications that provide the iPhone with its core features.

How to Get Rid of Pop-Ups on a Computer

You're sitting at your computer, looking up information online, when an uninvited advertisement pops up suddenly in front of the page you were trying to read. Pop-up windows such as this are frustrating, and they may also be an indication of a larger problem. Some pop-ups are caused by certain websites, others by spyware that has infected your computer. No matter the cause of pop-ups, you don't have to deal with them for long. Virtually all pop-ups are eliminated by making use of your browser's pop-up blocking capability.

How to Monitor Internet Activity on My LAN

Internet access from a private network involves connecting through a router that provides security to the private network as well as network IP management. However, routers that serve as an Internet gateway can also provide information about the Internet traffic sent from and received by hosts on the private network. Monitor Internet traffic on your local area network (LAN) using the gateway router that protects the private network.
Items you will need

* Linksys, D-Link or Netgear router/firewall serving as the network Internet gateway
* Microsoft Windows computer connected to the network
* User name and password with Administrator permissions on the router/firewall

Routers that serve as an Internet gateway can be used to block undesirable traffic to or from your network.

Internet

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (often called TCP/IP, although not all applications use TCP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support email.
Most traditional communications media including telephone, music, film, and television are reshaped or redefined by the Internet, giving birth to new services such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). Newspaper, book and other print publishing are adapting to Web siteblogging and web feeds. The Internet has enabled or accelerated new forms of human interactions through instant messaging, Internet forums, and social networking. Online shopping has boomed both for major retail outlets and small artisans and traders. Business-to-business and financial services on the Internet affect supply chains across entire industries. technology, or are reshaped into
The origins of the Internet reach back to research of the 1960s, commissioned by the United States government in collaboration with private commercial interests to build robust, fault-tolerant, and distributed computer networks. The funding of a new U.S. backbone by the National Science Foundation in the 1980s, as well as private funding for other commercial backbones, led to worldwide participation in the development of new networking technologies, and the merger of many networks. The commercialization of what was by the 1990s an international network resulted in its popularization and incorporation into virtually every aspect of modern human life. As of 2011, more than 2.2 billion people – nearly a third of Earth's population — use the services of the Internet.

The Internet has no centralized governance in either technological implementation or policies for access and usage; each constituent network sets its own standards. Only the overreaching definitions of the two principal

How to Find and Subscribe for Youtube Channels

There are so many videos on YouTube that it may seem overwhelming to find some of interest to you. There’s an easy way to always find videos you like. Companies, bands, and others set up channels for their videos. You can subscribe to them so they’re easily accessible for you, and you can set it so you receive email notifications when the channel owners upload a new video. Instructions and channel examples are below.

Preliminary Step: Create a YouTube account

Find and Subscribe to a YouTube Channel

1. Log in to your YouTube account.
2. Search for a channel to which to subscribe.
You can search for a specific item (such as a band) or a broader topic. For some popular channels, such as those for bands or companies, you may want to select an “offical” channel. These are usually noted as such in the search results and on the channel itself. Examples of different channels are included below.
3. In the search results, click the channel name. The channel page displays.
4. Click Subscribe. A box displays at the top of the page.
To receive notifications when a new video is added to the channel, select “also email me for each upload.”
5. Click Update. A “subscribed” notice displays.

Channel Examples

There are many channels available from which to choose and subscribe. Here are some examples. Basically, though, you can search for something, or look on sites and blogs for a YouTube link and go from there.

Memory Card

Memory Card Corruption Causes and Solution
A corrupted memory card has damaged data that prevents it from performing properly. If a card becomes unreadable, you may not be able to access photos on it.
Memory card corruption often results from human error. Awareness of the main causes can help prevent card corruption from occurring.

Causes of memory card corruption

  • Turning off a camera before an image is completely written to the memory card.
  • Removing the memory card from a camera while an image is being written to the card.
  • Removing the card from a memory card reader while files are still being transferred to a computer.
  • Batteries conking out as files are being transferred directly from the camera to a computer. Note: always make sure you have fully charged batteries before transferring images.
  • Removing the card from a card reader while folders and files from the card are open on a computer.
  • Opening, deleting, renaming or moving files on the card while its contents are open on a computer.
  • Using a memory card which has not been formatted in the camera. Use the delete/erase function when needed, however a card should be regularly formatted.
  • Formatting a card in a computer instead of the camera. Formatting a memory card in a computer can slow down data processing when it’s used in the camera. With some memory cards, formatting via a computer may result in compatibility and operational problems. Related reading: Why format a memory card]

4 Reasons to Promote Your Blog on Facebook and Twitter

This may come as a surprise but a lot of people hesitate when it comes to blog promotion on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Sometimes it’s because they don’t want certain people to know about their blog, other times it’s because they don’t want to look like they’re spamming up their friends and followers feeds, and sometimes it just comes down to the fact that they don’t know how or even realize that they should be doing so. However not using Facebook and Twitter for your blog promotion is a massive mistake. Here are four reasons you need to use Facebook and Twitter for marketing your blog:
1. More exposure: It’s pretty simple really. You post your latest blog posts on Facebook and Twitter and more people are going to click on the link to read them. You can’t leave all of it to chance and people finding you through search engines because, unless you’re a mastermind with keywords and SEO, increased traffic just isn’t going to happen as quickly as when you’re promoting on these two sites.
2. New connections: Having a social media site to promote your blog gives you the opportunity to form new connections with readers and bloggers alike. You are able to interact with them in a way that your blog on its own doesn’t afford, which deepens the relationship and gives you a more loyal audience. Both of these are vital to the success of your blog.

How to Flirt with a girl

When you hear the word “flirt”, what do you think? If you look it up on everybody’s favorite online encyclopedia, you get this: “Flirting is a form of human interaction between two people, expressing a romantic and/or sexual interest. It can consist of conversation, body language, or brief physical contact.”

Now, do you think this first line will help you learn how to flirt with a woman? Naturally, you may be reluctant to “express a romantic and/or sexual interest” in a woman just like that: what if you come off as weird, she gets annoyed, defensive, what if she flat-out rejects you? That would make flirting a quite unpleasant experience. On the other hand, if you really understand how to do it, you can make any flirt what it’s meant to be: a light, fun interaction with a breezy sexual vibe and sweet validation.

When I hear the word “flirt”, I think of witty, smiley banter, laughing, good feelings, slight sexual tension, and most importantly: no particular outcome. It may be a fun prelude to casual sex, a steady relationship or simply nothing at all – none of these things make or break a good flirt. The only two ingredients it needs are “good” and “flirt”. It is what it is! Here’s how you do it:

How to Get Paid To Blog - Paid Blogging Networks

One of the easiest, most popular and profitable ways to generate an additional income stream from your blog/s is to do some paid posting through paid blogging networks. Connecting paying advertisers with bloggers-for-hire, paid blogging networks simply act as a bridge or middle-man.

Bloggers are basically paid to write and post their opinions and reviews of advertiser websites, products and/or services. But, because each paid blogging network is different - rules, guidelines and requirements vary.

Being professional and consistent are key in order to build a good reputation for yourself. Making money through paid blogging and posting can earn you a realistic $100 to $500 or more per month with each blog.

To help get you started with paid blogging, follow these steps:

Things You'll Need

  • Your own blog/s

Instructions

    • 1

      Using Notepad...

In Notepad or other text editor, make a list of 7 to 10 keywords that describe your blog site. Then, beneath this list, create and write a keyword-rich description of your blog. Save it! You're going to need to copy and paste this information on your applications to paid blogging networks. Trust me, this will save you a ton of time.

    • 2
Browse the following paid blogging network sites (direct links to these sites are found at the end under the Resources section):

      PayPerPost.com
These folks pioneered the "get paid to blog" concept. Besides being the most popular paid blogging network, I've found that they always seem to have the most job opportunities available at any given time. PayPerPost pays bloggers anywhere from $5 to over $200 per completed and approved post.

      Bloggerwave.com
Although Bloggerwave is a smaller paid blogging network and lists fewer open job opportunties, their site is super blogger-friendly and easy to to navigate. Bloggers here get paid a minimum of $10 for each completed and approved post. Bloggerwave also pays on time and like clock-work.

How to Flash a Blackberry Cell Phone

I am going to show you how to flash your Blackberry to any CDMA carrier. First you will need a few programs such as BlackBerry Desktop Manager or Sprint Mobile Broadband, UniCDMA, QPST (main flashing program), WINHEX - UniPST (Universal PST) & Rim DLL.
If you get there programs from the internet be very careful of any virus. I got everything here from www.yourcellular.net/need_help.htm along with a video tutorial.
1.) First download Blackberry Unipst
2.) Install QPST
3.) Install BlackBerry Desktop Manager or Sprint Mobile Broadband
4.) If Installing Sprint Mobile Broadband – Make sure BlackBerry is checked during
installation!
5.) Restart your computer, then go to your Device Manager, and check under Ports
(COM & LPT) there should be 2 serial Ports for RIM (e.g: COM3 and COM4), now
you need to remember the highest number COM port for your blackberry. Note:
If you have a Sprint phone the ports must be less than 4. If they are 4 and 5 you
will not be able to read your SPC (unlock code). Change the ports to consecutive numbers less
than 5. 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. Then reboot your computer so they will reset and
detect the phone.
6.) Turn off your wireless connection in the BlackBerry phone. Then connect it to
your PC via a USB cable and run Sprint Mobile Broadband or BlackBerry Desktop Manager
7.) Run QPST Configuration. Click on Ports tab and add new port (add your
blackberry port, the highest number port)
8.) Then click Start Clients - Service Programming - Select your phone, for phone

Obtain your MSL code from your service provider or read it with UniCDMA.
If you have a Verizon phone MSL (SPC) is 000000

use UniCdma to read your SPC.
Read this Memory section of phone with UniCDMA: 0x106C0000-106D0000
Use WinHex to Search for hex value: 00 07 00 02 04 00 00 00 00 00
SPC will be found like this: 3x 3x 3x 3x 3x 3x
Write down the number for each x and that is your SPC.
If you don’t find your SPC here then try these…….
Possible Memory Locations of SPC:
Using UniCDMA read MSL/SPC from the following:
Blackberry Pearl Address: 0x106c9e79 Length: 1703936
Blackberry 8703e Address: 0x10050000 Length: 1703936 (updated address)
Blackberry 8830 WE Address: 0x10057700 Length: 524288

BlackBerry 8330 Address: 0x1067ED90 length: 0x00100000
BlackBerry 8330 Address: 0x1067ed90 Length: 1703936
To find SPC – first read memory with UniCDMA and then open with WinHex.
In WinHex select Specialist – Gather Text – Change to 6 and check NUMBERS only.
It will ask you for file size. 100MB should be plenty sufficient. This will show you 6
consecutive numbers. One of the 6 consecutive numbers will be your MSL (SPC).
10.) Download service provider prl from Corolada PRL Page then save it to your
computer. http://www.corolada.com/prl
11.) Back in qpst, click on the roam tab , under preferred roaming, load the prl
12.) Click on the settings tab, change service programming to 000000 (6 zeros)
13.) Click write to phone
14.) Phone should reboot.
16 ) Now disconnect the phone, and call 611 to make sure the phone connects to
customer service of new service provider.
If you try QPST and get NV locked error then you need to use Universal
PST.
Follow UNIPST Install Instructions EXACTLY! Very Important!
Install UniPST and run upgrades - READ INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO UPGRADE HP PAVILION DV6

Upgrading the hard drive and memory capacity of the HP Pavilion dv6, an entertainment notebook computer released in 2009, boosts speed and increases storage space. The laptop comes standard with a 2.5-inch, 160 GB, 5400 RPM ATA-7 notebook hard drive, and can be upgraded using that drive or a 7200 RPM ATA-7 notebook hard drive. The notebook comes with two 1 GB memory modules and can support two 4 GB DDR2 memory modules.

Things You'll Need

  • Phillips screwdriver
Instructions

    • 1
Shut down the HP Pavilion dv6 notebook, disconnect any cables or devices connected to the notebook, then turn the notebook upside down. Position the notebook so the back of the notebook is closest to you.

    • 2
Push the battery-disengage latch above the left side of the battery to the right to disengage the battery from the notebook. Remove the battery.

    • 3
Loosen, but do not remove, the two screws on the left side of the hard drive cover above the right side of the battery bay, using a Phillips screwdriver. Lift and remove the hard drive cover. Grab the black plastic pull-tab on the left side of the hard drive bracket and pull the bracket to the right edge of the hard drive bay. Unplug the small cable that extends from the left side of the bracket from the notebook. Lift and remove the bracket.

    • 4
Remove the two screws on each side of the bracket, which connect the hard drive to the interposer (the small black plastic piece attached to the cable connecting the computer and hard drive). Slide the old hard drive out of the bracket. Slide the interposer over the connecting pins on the new hard drive, then slide the new hard drive into the bracket. Replace the four screws that connect the bracket to the hard drive.
    • 5
Place the hard drive on the right side of the hard drive bay and slide it to the left to connect it to the notebook. Plug the cable extending from the interposer back into the notebook. Replace the hard drive cover and screw in the two screws that connect it to the HP Pavilion dv6.

    • 6
Loosen but do not remove the screws in the lower-right, and middle-left and middle-right sections of the memory module cover, located in the middle of the notebook. Remove the memory module cover.

    • 7
Push the retaining clips on the edges of the upper memory module out away from the module, causing the module to tilt upward. Carefully pull the old memory module out of the slot then carefully insert the new memory module. Repeat this Step to replace the lower memory module while the upper memory module is angled upward. Push the lower module, then the upper module, down when you are finished replacing them.

    • 8
Replace the memory module cover and replace the three screws that connect the cover to the notebook. Slide the battery into the battery bay until it clicks and locks into position. Turn the HP Pavilion dv6 right-side up.
